These are wound cores of one or more magnetic strip widths on a rectangular tool, which require an annealing process to re-orient the magnetic atoms in the material after the winding up process.
Impregnated and then cut, they guarantee a perfectly parallel cutting plane, i.e. without an air gap, achieving losses that are much lower than those marked by the IEC 60329 standard. Each half is marked with the same number for easy identification of each pair. Current and voltage converters, welding converters and reactors are their most generic applications.
