Amorphous cores

• As with traditional iron-silicon cores, ELESA also offers amorphous cores in cut format. Due to the introduction of cuts, permeability values drop considerably, but their main advantage is a low level of losses and good frequency performance.

  ELESA manufactures cores tailored to its customer’s needs and offers the possibility of including one or several cuts as well as different standards such as AMCC.

  

  As nanocrystalline cores, these cores are used in many different industries such as the railway industry, the automotive industry, electro medicine, energy and telecommunications. The following are several examples:

  • High frequency converters for X-ray generators
  • Induction heating equipment
  • Welding equipment and converters
  • Inductors for signal conditioning in renewable energy equipment
  • Inductors for UPS and HEV boosters (hybrid vehicles)
